Terms of Service

Effective · June 17, 2026

1. Purpose

These Terms govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between MATE PLUS Inc. (the “Company”) and users (each a “Host”) in connection with the use of “StayMate” (the “Service”), a room QR-based multilingual AI accommodation guide provided by the Company.

2. Definitions

  • “Service” means the SaaS through which a multilingual AI responds to guest inquiries based on the room and facility information registered by the Host, and collects and forwards unanswered inquiries.
  • “Host” means an operator of an accommodation business that agrees to these Terms and enters into a service agreement with the Company to use the Service.
  • “Guest” means an end user who accesses the Service through a room QR code posted by the Host.
  • “Content” means all information the Host registers in the Service, including room and facility guides, FAQs, and images.

3. Posting and Amendment of Terms

  • The Company posts these Terms on the initial screen of the Service so that Hosts can easily review them.
  • The Company may amend these Terms within the scope permitted by applicable law. In such case, the Company will announce the effective date and reason at least 7 days in advance (30 days for changes that are unfavorable or material to users).

4. Formation of the Agreement

The service agreement is formed when the Host agrees to these Terms, applies for membership, and the Company accepts the application. The Company may withhold or refuse acceptance where operationally or technically necessary.

5. Provision and Modification of the Service

  • The Company provides features such as per-room QR generation, multilingual AI responses, FAQ management, and collection of unanswered inquiries.
  • The Service is provided on a 24/7 basis in principle, but may be temporarily suspended due to system maintenance, failures, force majeure, or other unavoidable circumstances.
  • The Service is a supplementary guide tool and does not replace existing accommodation operation systems such as PMS, check-in, mobile keys, or room controls. It does not provide booking, payment, or room control functions.

6. Limitations of AI Responses

AI responses are generated based on the guide information registered by the Host, and the Company does not warrant the completeness or accuracy of such responses. The Host is responsible for the accuracy and currency of the guide information, and inquiries the AI cannot answer are forwarded to the Host for direct handling.

7. Host Obligations

  • The Host must register accurate and lawful guide information and must not register content that infringes the rights of others or violates applicable law.
  • The Host must take care not to improperly register information containing a Guest’s personal data.
  • The Host is responsible for managing its account credentials.

8. Rights in Content

Rights in Content registered by the Host remain with the Host, and the Company may use such Content to the extent necessary to provide the Service and generate AI responses.

9. Fees and Termination

Fees, payment, and refunds are governed by the separate Refund Policy. The Host may request termination of the Service at any time.

10. International Payments and Payment Processing

Payments made within the Republic of Korea are processed through a domestic payment processor designated by the Company. For payments made outside the Republic of Korea (“international payments”), Paddle.com Market Ltd. acts as the Merchant of Record and handles payment, billing, collection of taxes (such as VAT and consumption tax), and refund processing. International payment transactions are subject to Paddle’s terms of use and privacy policy in addition to these Terms, and payment and refund handling may follow Paddle’s policies and procedures.

11. Limitation of Liability

The Company is not liable for damages arising from causes beyond its reasonable control, including force majeure, communication failures, and failures of third-party services (such as AI, translation, hosting, and payment processing). The Company’s liability is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are interpreted under the laws of the Republic of Korea, and any dispute relating to the use of the Service is subject to the court having jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
